Good day!
What a beautiful day here, almost no wind, sunny and clear. The smog blew out last night. This morning we took Monica to Kirstenbosch and she enjoyed the blooms of the protea and other fantastic flora. We'd ever been in the morning, so this was a change. Tonight we will celebrate her 50th with Marion and Ricardo at their place.
We went to signal hill to watch the sunset yesterday. The trip to Franshoek was nice, the ride was great, even with a couple of wrong turns. Franschoek is not the typical wine area, nestled deep into the mountains, very high end. WE looked at a few tourist shops before we ate lunch and drove home.
TOmorrow Katy has her first performance of Jungle Fever, the musical her school is putting on. We've seen her costume, and since we've been to Addo park, she should know how to play the part of an elephant. We're confident it will go well.
WE finally heard from R + C in Botswana on Tuesday, and they made there ok and have had some good times as well as an incident with the Ballade, damaging two rims in a pothole, but they are fine...and I'm sure the car will make it too.
