We just got back from a beautiful morning exploring Chapman's Peak Drive and hiking trail, and visiting the fishing community of Hout Bay. We didn't make it quite to the top because of incessant whining, but did make it a good portion up the side of the mountain. We were rewarded with a fantastic view of Hout Bay and the town site. After the hike we visited the wharf and had some seaside fish and chips fresh from the ocean this morning. It's 30 outside today, hasn't been this warm in a while, mostly lower twenties and mid teens over night. Tonight is the Stormers' last game of the season and we were to go but it seems we were too late and it is sold out.

Last night we watched Happy Feet which the kids enjoyed and also had Borat after the kids went to sleep. This was a surprising movie, some of the scenes disturbing, a couple of very funny scenes too but one that I'd probably not watch again. Henry had park rugby at 4:30 and who would've guessed there was going to be over 100 grade 1 and 2's with about thirty or forty dads participating, apart from the coaches? It was a contest who could get their white shorts the dirtiest as they had just watered the grass. I couldn't believe that this was going to be full contact for the 6, 7 and 8 year olds, but it was and the kids had fun. There were a few tears here and there, but by and large the kids had a great time.

We had leftover roti from Chip and Ranch. These rotis were unnatural they were so large. They were actually leftover from lunch on Thursday when we bought three (for about $9.00) and finished one and a half. I warmed them in the oven and the roti got nice and crisp. The only problem with them is the feedback I get for a day straight. I hope Ron and Connie were sitting next to a window on the plane ride home or else they might have exploded. On to the next topic: Ron and Connie left on Thursday evening back to Winnipeg and they are already there safe and sound. We had such a great time with them it goes without saying. After the drive that we went on today, we know we missed taking on some of the Cape's premier attractions. That and not going to a vineyard was missed. By the time November rolls around, we'll have a good handle on the places to go.
