2007-05-19 Storm

Talk about winter...it is different here than a Canadian winter, but the rain comes horizonally when it storms here, you have no choice but to get wet. Katy, Harry and I braved the storm on Saturday morning to watch the breakers at Mulley (sp?) point and saw some huge waves. There were reports of 5 metre swells, but those we didn't see. Carla and Henry had stopped at the Old Biscuit Factory in Salt River to pick up some more beading supplies. It is still funny to watch people in their parkas, scarfs and toques bundle up to be outside.
The Sharks were beaten in the dying seconds by the Bulls in the Vodacom super 14 Final game. It was an even game all the way through but a try was scored with no time on the clock to give the Bulls a one point win. This weekend the international tests begin with England in SA to play the Springboks.
Katy has her first oral report on Wednesday and is a little nervous. She will be talking about the northern hemisphere's night sky.
