Tonight is bingo night at Rondebosch School, big prizes to be won! Doors open at 6:30, you won't want to miss it. We hit the bingo dabbers right after park rugby....it'll be a Tide event as the field is soaked and the kids will get dirty.
Henry and I took the opportunity on Wednesday's strike holiday to climb the Table Mountain using the Platteklip Gorge route. It was a 90 minutes ascent with a few breaks to carb up and chat with fellow climbers (and pass them). Henry was a trooper, and I couldn't believe his stamina. This was only 15 minutes longer than when Carla and I made the trek. Once at the top we had a little lunch and took in the scenery for about an hour. The downhill journey was about the same length but we stopped longer to talk to some of the staff from Team Australia as well as some West Pointers from New York. It was a perfect day to hike, unlike today and yesterday when the summit has been covered with cloud. On the way down the mountain Henry spied a goat like animal which we later discovered was a product of Cecil Rhodes importing these Himalayan tahrs onto his estate from Afghanastan. They are quite rare now as some had been controversially purged just in the last few years.

I'm waiting for the update... did you get a BINGO? Should I bring my dabber along when I come to visit?
