NZ's South African Adventure

Harry and I took a short trip this morning to see the aloe blooms...check out the pictures.
Things have been quiet, the strike is still going, yet I don't see anyone taking any time off work. Beats me how that will help them.
Apparently Fonzie is taking a holiday as well back home in Canada moving south of the tracks into Fort Garry.
It is very warm here today finally with the high over 24 degrees which was nice for field hockey which is finished for the term. There are 7 more days of school until term break. We are visiting Durban which is in Kwazulu Natal province, on the eastern coast of Africa. We're staying at Avril's (from church) son's B+B south of Durban for a couple of nights, then heading up the coast to stay at the Emdoneni Lodge (google this) near the Shh Louis Game reserve....it is spelled differently but this is how it's pronounced. We'll be also visiting the St Lucia Hippo park.
Peter, we will be in the neighbourhood of your childhood...maybe we'll run into some school friends! We will stay the last few nights in Pietermaritzburg at Dan and Yvonne's place which they have graciously allowed us to use while they are away in Melbourne.
